Flight Engineer Certificate
A Flight Engineer Certificate is a qualification that allows an individual to serve as a flight engineer on an aircraft. The certificate is issued by the aviation regulatory authority of the country where the individual is seeking employment. To obtain the certificate, the individual must complete a training program that covers topics such as aircraft systems, engine operations, emergency procedures, and flight planning. The training program must be approved by the regulatory authority and the individual must pass a written and practical exam. Once the certificate is obtained, the individual can serve as a flight engineer on aircraft that require one as part of the flight crew.
