STOL Aircraft

STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Aircraft are designed to have a very short takeoff and landing distance, allowing them to operate in small or remote airfields with limited runway length. These aircraft are typically characterized by their high lift-to-drag ratio, large wing area, and high power-to-weight ratio. STOL aircraft are commonly used for bush flying, search and rescue operations, and military applications. They are also popular among recreational pilots who enjoy flying in remote areas with challenging terrain. Some examples of STOL aircraft include the Cessna 208 Caravan, Pilatus PC-6 Porter, and de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.
