Non-destructive Testing

Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a method of inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, components, or assemblies for discontinuities, or differences in characteristics without destroying the serviceability of the part or system. NDT is used in aviation to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft components and structures. It includes various techniques such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and eddy current testing. NDT is essential in detecting cracks, corrosion, and other defects that may compromise the integrity of aircraft parts and systems.
