UHF Frequency

UHF (Ultra High Frequency) Frequency refers to the radio frequency range between 300 MHz and 3 GHz. In aviation, UHF frequencies are used for air-to-air and air-to-ground communication, including communication between pilots and air traffic control. UHF frequencies are preferred over VHF frequencies in certain situations, such as in mountainous terrain or in areas with high levels of radio interference. UHF radios are also used for military aviation communication. The use of UHF frequencies requires a specific license and training.
