UVB Rays

UVB rays, or ultraviolet B rays, are a type of electromagnetic radiation that comes from the sun and can cause damage to the skin and eyes. In aviation, UVB rays are a concern for pilots and crew members who spend long hours in the cockpit or on the tarmac, as they can lead to sunburn, skin cancer, and other health issues. To protect against UVB rays, aviation professionals should wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses with UV-blocking lenses. Additionally, aircraft windshields and windows can be treated with UV-blocking coatings to reduce exposure to these harmful rays.
