Aerodrome Weather Information Service

Aerodrome Weather information Service (AWIS) is a system that provides pilots with current weather information at an aerodrome. AWIS includes a variety of weather sensors and instruments that measure wind speed and direction, temperature, dew point, humidity, pressure, and precipitation. This information is then broadcasted to pilots through a dedicated radio frequency. AWIS is designed to provide pilots with the most up-to-date weather information so they can make informed decisions about takeoff, landing, and flight planning.
