Air Travel Rights

Air Travel Rights refer to the legal entitlements of passengers during air travel. These rights are established by international, regional, and national laws and regulations, and they cover a wide range of issues, including compensation for flight delays and cancellations, lost or damaged luggage, and the treatment of passengers with disabilities. In the event of overbooking, airlines are required to ask for volunteers before bumping passengers involuntarily, and those who are bumped are usually entitled to compensation. Passengers also have the right to clear and timely information about their flight status, and airlines are required to provide assistance in the event of long delays. In addition, air travel rights include the right to fair treatment in the event of denied boarding, the right to a certain standard of service, and the right to lodge complaints with the airline or with a national enforcement body. These rights are designed to protect passengers and ensure a minimum standard of treatment in the aviation industry.
