Alternative Hypothesis
In aviation, the alternative hypothesis refers to a statement that contradicts the null hypothesis and suggests that there is a significant difference or relationship between two or more variables. In other words, it is a hypothesis that is accepted when the null hypothesis is rejected. For example, in an aviation experiment, the null hypothesis may be that there is no significant difference in the fuel efficiency of two aircraft models, while the alternative hypothesis may be that there is a significant difference in fuel efficiency between the two models. The alternative hypothesis is important in aviation research as it helps to identify and test the validity of different theories and assumptions.
