APU System

An APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is a small gas turbine engine that provides electrical power and/or compressed air to power the aircraft systems while the main engines are shut down. The APU is typically located in the tail section of the aircraft and is started using electrical power from the aircraft's battery or ground power unit. Once started, the APU can provide electrical power to run the aircraft's avionics, lights, and other systems, as well as provide compressed air to start the main engines. The APU system is an important component of modern aircraft, providing backup power and reducing the need for ground support equipment.
