Baffles

Baffles are structures used in aircraft fuel tanks to prevent fuel from sloshing around during flight. They are typically made of lightweight materials and are strategically placed within the fuel tank to reduce the movement of fuel. Baffles help to maintain the balance and stability of the aircraft during flight, as well as prevent fuel starvation by ensuring that the fuel pickup remains submerged in fuel at all times. Without baffles, fuel could slosh to one side of the tank during a turn or other maneuver, causing the aircraft to become unbalanced and potentially leading to a loss of control.
