Cockpit Doors
Cockpit doors are the doors that separate the cockpit, where the pilots sit, from the rest of the aircraft. These doors are designed to be strong and secure to prevent unauthorized access to the cockpit. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, cockpit doors were reinforced to make them bulletproof and to prevent them from being forced open. Cockpit doors are also equipped with peepholes and video cameras to allow the pilots to see who is outside the door before granting access. In case of an emergency, cockpit doors can be opened from the inside by the pilots or from the outside by a special code or key.
