Commercial Anti-icing
Commercial Anti-icing is the process of removing or preventing the formation of ice on the surfaces of commercial aircraft. This is achieved through the use of anti-icing fluids, which are applied to the aircraft prior to takeoff. The fluids work by lowering the freezing point of any moisture on the aircraft's surfaces, preventing it from freezing and forming ice. Anti-icing is important for the safety of commercial flights, as ice buildup on the wings and other surfaces can disrupt the flow of air over the aircraft, reducing lift and increasing drag. This can lead to decreased performance and even loss of control of the aircraft.
