Composite Material
Composite material is a combination of two or more materials with different physical and chemical properties, which when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components. In aviation, composite materials are widely used in the manufacturing of aircraft structures due to their high strength-to-weight ratio, durability, and resistance to corrosion and fatigue. Composite materials used in aviation include carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP), glass fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP), and aramid fiber reinforced polymers (AFRP). These materials are used in the construction of aircraft fuselage, wings, tail, and other structural components, resulting in lighter and more fuel-efficient aircraft.
