Upgrades

In aviation, upgrades refer to the process of moving a passenger from their originally booked class of service to a higher class of service. This can be done for a variety of reasons, such as overbooking in the lower class, frequent flyer status, or simply as a goodwill gesture by the airline. Upgrades can be either complimentary or purchased, and can include upgrades to first class, business class, or premium economy. The availability of upgrades is dependent on a number of factors, including the airline's policies, the passenger's status, and the availability of seats in the higher class of service.
