Decommissioning

Decommissioning in aviation refers to the process of retiring an aircraft from service. This process involves a series of steps that ensure the aircraft is safely taken out of service and all its components are properly disposed of or recycled. The first step in decommissioning is usually to remove all hazardous materials, such as fuel and oil, from the aircraft. The next step is to disassemble the aircraft and remove any reusable parts. The remaining parts are then either recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Decommissioning is an important process in aviation as it ensures that retired aircraft do not pose a risk to the environment or public safety.
