Dry Lease
Dry lease is a contractual agreement between two parties where an aircraft lessor provides an aircraft without crew, maintenance, insurance, and other operational services to the lessee for a specified period of time. The lessee is responsible for providing the crew, maintenance, insurance, and other operational services. The lessor provides the aircraft in an airworthy condition and the lessee operates the aircraft under their own Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). Dry lease is a popular option for airlines and other operators who want to expand their fleet without the financial burden of purchasing an aircraft outright.
