Flight Plan
A flight plan is a document filed by a pilot or flight dispatcher with the local Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) prior to departure which indicates the flight's planned route or flight path. The flight plan generally contains information such as departure and arrival points, estimated time en route, alternate airports in case of bad weather, type of flight, and the pilot's information. The purpose of the flight plan is to provide a systematic and efficient way to manage air traffic and ensure the safety of the flight. It also helps to optimize fuel consumption and minimize flight time.
