Harnesses
In aviation, harnesses refer to the safety equipment worn by pilots and passengers to secure them in their seats during flight. Harnesses consist of straps that are fastened around the waist, shoulders, and legs, and are designed to distribute the forces of impact evenly across the body in the event of a crash or sudden deceleration. Harnesses are an essential component of aviation safety, and are required by law to be worn during takeoff, landing, and turbulent conditions. They are also used in aerobatic flying and other high-performance aircraft to prevent the pilot from being thrown out of the cockpit during extreme maneuvers.
