Life Vest
A life vest, also known as a personal flotation device (PFD), is a piece of safety equipment designed to keep a person afloat in water. In aviation, life vests are mandatory on commercial flights and are usually stored under the passenger's seat. They are designed to be easily accessible in case of an emergency landing on water. Life vests are also equipped with a whistle and a light for signaling purposes. The vest should be worn tightly around the chest and waist, and the straps should be adjusted to ensure a snug fit. Inflatable life vests are also available, which can be manually or automatically inflated when immersed in water.
