Life Vests

Life vests, also known as personal flotation devices (PFDs), are essential safety equipment for passengers and crew members on board an aircraft. They are designed to keep a person afloat in the event of an emergency landing or ditching on water. Life vests are typically made of lightweight materials and are available in different sizes to fit both adults and children. They are equipped with reflective tape, a whistle, and a light for signaling purposes. In addition, some life vests may also have a water-activated locator beacon to aid in rescue efforts. It is mandatory for all commercial aircraft to carry a sufficient number of life vests for all passengers and crew members on board.
