Lift-to-drag Ratio
Lift-to-drag ratio (L/D) is the amount of lift generated by an aircraft in comparison to the amount of drag created. It is a measure of the efficiency of an aircraft and is calculated by dividing the lift coefficient by the drag coefficient. A high L/D ratio indicates that the aircraft is able to generate a large amount of lift with minimal drag, resulting in better fuel efficiency and longer range. This ratio is an important factor in the design of aircraft, as it affects the performance and capabilities of the aircraft.
