Meteorological Factors

Meteorological factors refer to the various weather conditions and atmospheric phenomena that can affect aviation operations. These factors include but are not limited to visibility, cloud cover, wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, precipitation, thunderstorms, icing, and turbulence. Pilots and air traffic controllers must take into account these factors when planning and executing flights to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Accurate and timely weather information is critical for making informed decisions and avoiding hazardous conditions. Meteorological factors can also impact airport operations, such as runway conditions and aircraft de-icing procedures.
