Microwave ILS

Microwave ILS (Instrument Landing System) is a precision radio guidance system that provides an aircraft with horizontal and vertical guidance just before and during landing. It operates on a microwave frequency of 5.8 GHz and uses a highly directional antenna to transmit signals to the aircraft. Microwave ILS is an advanced version of the traditional ILS, which uses a lower frequency of 329.15 MHz. The microwave ILS provides more accurate and reliable guidance to the aircraft, especially in adverse weather conditions such as fog, rain, and snow.
