Navigational Fixes

Navigational Fixes are predetermined geographic locations used for navigation purposes. They are typically identified by a specific name or code and their coordinates are accurately measured and recorded on aeronautical charts. Pilots use these fixes to determine their position and track their progress during a flight. Navigational fixes can be classified into different types such as intersection, waypoint, VOR, NDB, and GPS fixes. Intersection fixes are formed by the crossing of two or more navigational aids, while waypoint fixes are arbitrary points defined by latitude and longitude coordinates. VOR and NDB fixes are based on radio signals transmitted by ground-based navigation aids, and GPS fixes are determined by satellite signals received by the aircraft's GPS receiver.
