Waypoint Fixes
Waypoint Fixes are predetermined geographic locations used in aviation navigation. They are used to define the flight path of an aircraft and are identified by a five-letter code. Waypoint Fixes can be used for navigation, to define the start or end of a route segment, or to define a holding pattern. They are typically located at significant points along a route, such as intersections of airways, or at the beginning or end of a segment. Waypoint Fixes can be programmed into the aircraft's navigation system and used to guide the aircraft along its flight path.
