Preliminary Design

Preliminary Design is the initial stage of the design process where the basic concept of an aircraft is developed. The design team also considers factors such as aerodynamics, stability and control, weight and balance, and structural design. The output of the preliminary design phase is a set of specifications and drawings that serve as the basis for the detailed design phase.
