Radar Target

In aviation, a radar target refers to an object that is detected by a radar system. This can include aircraft, birds, weather phenomena, or any other object that reflects radar waves. Radar targets are displayed on a radar screen as blips or dots, with each target providing information such as its distance, altitude, and speed. The ability to detect and track radar targets is crucial for air traffic control, weather monitoring, and military operations. Radar targets can also be used for collision avoidance systems, which alert pilots to the presence of nearby aircraft or other objects. In order to avoid confusion, each radar target is assigned a unique identification code, which is displayed on the radar screen.
