Radio Waves
Radio waves are a type of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths longer than infrared light. In aviation, radio waves are used for communication and navigation purposes. Radio waves are transmitted from ground-based stations and received by aircraft radios, allowing pilots to communicate with air traffic control and receive important information such as weather updates and flight instructions. Navigation aids such as VOR (VHF Omnidirectional Range) and NDB (Non-Directional Beacon) also use radio waves to provide pilots with directional information. The use of radio waves in aviation has greatly improved safety and efficiency in air travel.
