RNAV Routes

RNAV (Area Navigation) routes are routes in which aircraft are able to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems, rather than following traditional ground-based navigation aids. RNAV routes are designed to provide more direct and efficient routing for aircraft, reducing flight time, fuel consumption, and emissions. These routes are typically used in high-density airspace and are often found in terminal areas around busy airports. RNAV routes are identified by a five-letter code, such as TESLA or JAKES, and are published in navigation charts and databases.
