The classification of airspace is determined by the complexity or density of aircraft movements, nature of flight activities, and the level of safety required. The categories of airspace include A, B, C, D, E, and F, with A being the most restrictive and F being the least restrictive. Airspace is managed by air traffic control (ATC) to ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic.
