Structural Loads

Structural loads refer to the forces and stresses that an aircraft structure is subjected to during operation. These loads can be classified into two main categories: aerodynamic loads and inertial loads. Aerodynamic loads are caused by the movement of air around the aircraft and include lift, drag, and side forces. Inertial loads are caused by the acceleration and deceleration of the aircraft and include weight, thrust, and braking forces. Structural loads are important to consider during the design and maintenance of an aircraft to ensure that the structure can withstand the stresses it will encounter during operation.
