Triangulation
Triangulation is a method used in aviation for navigation purposes. It involves using three known points to determine the location of an aircraft. The three points can be radio beacons, landmarks, or celestial bodies. By measuring the angles between the aircraft and each of the three points, the aircraft's position can be determined. Triangulation is commonly used in areas where traditional navigation aids are not available or unreliable, such as over large bodies of water or in remote areas. It is also used in search and rescue operations to locate missing aircraft.
