Unacceptable Risk

Unacceptable Risk refers to a level of risk that is deemed to be too high to be acceptable in aviation operations. This level of risk is determined by considering the likelihood and potential consequences of an event occurring. The assessment of unacceptable risk takes into account factors such as the safety record of the aircraft, the experience and training of the crew, the weather conditions, and the complexity of the operation. If the level of risk is deemed to be unacceptable, the operation will not be authorized to proceed until the risk has been mitigated to an acceptable level.
