Vertical Takeoff And Landing
Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) is a type of aircraft that is capable of taking off, hovering, and landing vertically without the need for a runway. VTOL aircraft can be either fixed-wing or rotary-wing and are commonly used in military operations, search and rescue missions, and commercial aviation. The ability to take off and land vertically allows VTOL aircraft to operate in areas where traditional aircraft cannot, such as in urban environments or on ships. VTOL aircraft are also used for short-haul flights and can provide a more efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional air travel.
