Takeoff

Takeoff is the phase of flight in which an aircraft goes from the ground to the air. During takeoff, the aircraft accelerates along the runway until it reaches a speed that allows it to become airborne. The takeoff speed required for an aircraft depends on several factors, including the weight of the aircraft, the runway length, and the weather conditions. Once the aircraft is airborne, the pilot retracts the landing gear and adjusts the flaps and other control surfaces to climb to the desired altitude. Takeoff is a critical phase of flight, and pilots must follow specific procedures to ensure a safe and successful takeoff.
