VOR Indicator

A VOR (Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range) Indicator is an instrument used in aircraft navigation to determine the direction to or from a VOR station. It displays the aircraft's radial, which is the magnetic bearing to or from the VOR station. The VOR indicator also includes a CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) which shows the aircraft's position relative to the selected radial. The CDI needle moves left or right to indicate whether the aircraft is to the left or right of the selected radial. The VOR indicator is an essential instrument for instrument flight and is used in conjunction with other navigation instruments such as the HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator) and GPS (Global Positioning System).
