Aircraft Upsets
Aircraft Upsets refer to the unintended and abnormal attitudes or movements of an aircraft, which can lead to loss of control. These upsets can be caused by various factors such as turbulence, wake turbulence, icing, pilot error, mechanical failure, and so on. Upsets can result in a range of dangerous situations, including stalls, spins, and overspeed conditions. To prevent and recover from upsets, pilots are trained in Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), which includes theoretical knowledge and practical flight training. UPRT aims to enhance pilots' awareness, resilience, and skills to recognize, avoid, and recover from upsets, thereby improving flight safety.
