External Stores
External stores refer to any equipment or weapons that are carried externally on an aircraft. These can include fuel tanks, bombs, missiles, rockets, and other types of armaments. The use of external stores allows an aircraft to carry more weapons or equipment than it would be able to internally. However, the addition of external stores can also increase drag and reduce the aircraft's performance. The placement of external stores is carefully considered to ensure that they do not interfere with the aircraft's aerodynamics or stability. External stores can be attached to hardpoints on the wings, fuselage, or undercarriage of the aircraft.
