Aramid Fiber Reinforced Polymer

Aramid Fiber Reinforced Polymer (AFRP) is a composite material made of aramid fibers and a polymer matrix. Aramid fibers are high-strength, heat-resistant synthetic fibers with excellent resistance to impact and abrasion. The polymer matrix is typically made of epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester. AFRP is commonly used in the aerospace industry for structural applications such as aircraft components, due to its high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent fatigue resistance, and low thermal expansion. AFRP is also used in the construction of helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other high-performance aircraft.
