Automatic Landing System

An Automatic landing system (ALS) is a system that enables an aircraft to land automatically, without any input from the pilot. The ALS uses a combination of radio signals, computer systems, and sensors to guide the aircraft to the runway and bring it to a safe stop. The system is designed to operate in low visibility conditions, such as fog or heavy rain, when it may be difficult for the pilot to see the runway. The ALS is an important safety feature that can help prevent accidents caused by human error or poor visibility.
