Aviation Law

Aviation Law is a branch of law that concerns flight, air travel, and associated legal and business concerns. It is considered a part of international law due to the nature of air travel. The business aspects that fall under aviation law include aircraft transactions, lease agreements, and other legal matters related to the purchase, sale, and operation of aircraft. On the other hand, the legal aspects involve matters such as air accidents and safety, routes and airport slots, aircraft hijacking, environmental regulations, and the application of labor laws and employment agreements to airline employees. It also includes issues related to the maintenance of aircraft, licensing of pilots, air traffic control safety, and the carriage of passengers and freight. The International civil aviation organization (ICAO) is the UN specialized agency that manages the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil aviation (Chicago Convention).
