Carbon Dioxide Extinguisher
A carbon dioxide extinguisher is a type of fire extinguisher that uses carbon dioxide gas to extinguish fires. Carbon dioxide extinguishers work by displacing oxygen, which is one of the three elements that fire needs to burn. By removing the oxygen from the fire, the carbon dioxide extinguisher is able to put out the flames. Carbon dioxide extinguishers are commonly used in areas where there is a risk of electrical fires, as they are non-conductive and will not damage electrical equipment. They are also effective on Class B and Class C fires, which involve flammable liquids and gases.
