Cargo Holds
Cargo holds are the compartments in an aircraft designed to carry cargo or baggage. These compartments are located in the lower part of the aircraft and are separated from the passenger cabin by a bulkhead. Cargo holds are designed to withstand the weight and size of the cargo being transported, as well as the stresses of flight. They are equipped with tie-downs, nets, and other devices to secure the cargo during takeoff, landing, and turbulence. Cargo holds are also equipped with environmental controls to maintain the temperature and humidity levels required for the safe transport of certain types of cargo, such as live animals or perishable goods.
