Cargo Restraint

Cargo restraint refers to the methods and devices used to secure cargo on an aircraft during transportation. Proper cargo restraint is essential for the safety of the aircraft and its occupants, as unsecured cargo can shift during flight, causing damage to the aircraft or even leading to a loss of control. Cargo restraint systems may include straps, nets, and tie-downs, and must be designed to withstand the forces that may be encountered during takeoff, landing, and turbulence. The Federal aviation administration (FAA) sets regulations and guidelines for cargo restraint to ensure that all cargo is properly secured before takeoff.
