Cryogenic
Cryogenic refers to the branch of physics that deals with the production and effects of very low temperatures. In aviation, cryogenic technology is used to store and transport cryogenic fluids such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid hydrogen. These fluids are used as propellants in rockets and as coolants in aircraft engines. Cryogenic technology is also used in the design and testing of aircraft materials and components, as extreme low temperatures can reveal weaknesses and flaws that may not be apparent at higher temperatures.
