Diversion

In aviation, diversion refers to the act of changing the destination of a flight en route to an alternate airport due to unforeseen circumstances. These circumstances may include weather conditions, mechanical issues, medical emergencies, or security threats. Pilots may also choose to divert a flight if they are running low on fuel or if the airport they were originally scheduled to land at becomes unavailable. Diverting a flight requires coordination with air traffic control, ground handling services, and other relevant authorities to ensure a safe landing at the alternate airport.
