Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)


The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) is a national aviation authority of the United States responsible for regulating all aspects of civil aviation in the country. The FAA's primary mission is to ensure the safety and efficiency of the U.S. aviation industry. It accomplishes this by developing and enforcing regulations and standards for aircraft design, maintenance, and operation, as well as air traffic control and airport safety. The FAA also provides grants for airport development and improvement, and licenses pilots and other aviation professionals. The agency is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and operates regional offices throughout the United States.
