Finance Lease

A finance lease is a type of lease where the lessee (the user of the asset) has the option to purchase the asset at the end of the lease term for a price that is determined at the beginning of the lease. The lessor (the owner of the asset) finances the purchase of the asset and retains ownership throughout the lease term. The lessee makes regular payments to the lessor, which include interest and principal, and has the right to use the asset for the duration of the lease. Finance leases are commonly used in the aviation industry to finance the acquisition of aircraft.
