Fire-suppressing Agent
Fire-suppressing agent is a substance used to extinguish or control fires in aviation. These agents can be in the form of liquids, gases, or powders and are designed to interrupt the chemical reaction that takes place during a fire. The most common fire-suppressing agents used in aviation are water, foam, and dry chemical. Water is used to cool the fuel and prevent re-ignition, foam is used to smother the fire and prevent oxygen from reaching the fuel, and dry chemical is used to interrupt the chemical reaction of the fire. The type of fire-suppressing agent used depends on the type of fire and the materials involved.
