Fire Suppression Systems

Fire suppression systems are designed to detect and extinguish fires in aircraft. These systems use a combination of fire detection sensors, extinguishing agents, and control systems to quickly and effectively suppress fires. The most common types of fire suppression systems in aviation are Halon and Halon-alternative systems. Halon systems use a gas that interrupts the chemical reaction of fire, while Halon-alternative systems use other extinguishing agents such as water mist, foam, or dry powder. Fire suppression systems are a critical safety feature in aviation, as fires can quickly become catastrophic in flight and pose a significant risk to passengers and crew.
